Kosovo institutions officially launched the annual campaign against trafficking on 18 October 2017, marking EU’s Anti Trafficking Day, with the conference that gathered the highest Kosovo officials, including Prime Minister Haradinaj, as well as EU representatives, namely Nataliya Apostolova, Head of the EU Office in Kosovo.
The conference was organized by Kosovo’s National Authority against Trafficking of Human Beings, with participation of Kosovo government’s key ministries that are involved in work against trafficking in Kosovo. They purpose of the conference was to summarize the achievements and challenges in anti-trafficking work for 2016-2017 period, as well as to provide information on future initiatives on how to best tackle trafficking in Kosovo. Other participants included representatives from international institutions that are supporting these processes.
Starting from 18 October, Kosovo institutions held various informative activities for various target groups, all cantered around trafficking risks and work of Kosovo institutions against the phenomena.
