PRESENTATIONS HELD FOR STUDENTS ACROSS KOSOVO ON RISKS FROM TRAFFICKING

During the 2018 national campaign to promote the fight against trafficking of human beings in Kosovo, PVPT Center, an implementing partner in Moving Forward project,  implemented 5 awareness rising presentations with 160 students of University for Business and Technology-UBT in Prishtina, Ferizaj, Gjilan, Prizren, and in FAMA University in the region of Mitrovica.

The awareness raising sessions with students aimed to sensitize the targeted audience regarding the negative phenomenon of human trafficking, the recent trends, the risk of being trapped and becoming a victim of human trafficking  while traveling or illegal migration, institutions who combat human trafficking in Kosovo and the significance of reporting cases to the Kosovo Police. A movie presenting a story of human trafficking in Kosovo, has been shown to the audience, intending to display the real key elements of human trafficking. PVPT’s staff, as experts in the field of human trafficking and a representative from Kosovo Police were panelists who responded to the questions and issues raised by the participants during the debates.
